Hello, my name is Helio Silva and I was born in 1980, in the archipelago of the Azores, on the island of São Miguel. For 13 years I lived in Bermuda returning to the Azores in 1993.
I grew up in the restaurant because my parents owned a restaurant and many times I helped my parents. This experience gave me a great knowledge about restaurants, wine and food on the island.
I currently have a professional tourism driver's license, focusing mainly on tourist circuits and private driver services.
It is with great pleasure and with total comfort and security that I will let you know the charms and the secrets of the island.
Flexibility, safety, professionalism, friendliness and assurance of constant monitoring, as well as total availability to provide you with information on the places visited, are some of the main features of my services.
The archipelago of the Azores is situated halfway between Europe and America, an unspoiled paradise for a dream vacation.
The nine islands that make up the archipelago are unique with their people, natural landscapes and even in cultural terms. However they share some characteristics that unite them, the warm welcoming and a stunning natural beauty. The Azores are not only a destination of nature, they are also a destination of beaches and bathing areas, thermal baths, rails, bicycle tours, nautical activities, such as whale watching, but also sport fishing or surfing, quality gastronomy, sustainable tourism and ancient traditions that connect us with the past and the ways of life of the past. Undoubtedly a unique destination that invites you to a trip and an unforgettable vacation.
In the middle of the Atlantic, the Azores are still a well-kept secret. For this reason, you can enjoy a trip in full contact with nature and where you can recharge and enjoy the tranquility you seek for your holiday, even in the months of greater demand, such as the summer months.
In 2018 were considered the best National Tourism Region, in 2014 the most sustainable tourist destination in the world, in 2016 National Geographic chose the Azores as the most beautiful destination in the world. Among other distinctions that help to understand why the Azores are known as the pearl of the Atlantic.
The Azores are an archipelago of nine islands located in the Atlantic Ocean, which are separated geographically into three groups: the Eastern Group, which is composed of São Miguel and Santa Maria, the Central Group with Terceira, Graciosa, São Jorge, Pico and Faial , and the Western Group, with Flores and Corvo. Interestingly, Flores Island is the westernmost part of Europe.
The islands have volcanic origin, and the archipelago is formed by the upper layers of volcanoes. Its soil is extremely fertile, giving rise to lush vegetation in landscapes that feature peaks, valleys and some of the most picturesque lakes in the world.
